Maturo Electic Antenna Stand

Post by emvlab »

Hi
We have a Maturo Electic Antenna Stand with a fix high. From Radimation we only have to control the polarization. I can't find polarization switching in any driver. How do I proceed exactly?

Thanks emvlab

Hi emvlab,

RadiMation is very often controlling the antenna tower through an antenna tower controller. That controller is the computer communication interface between the antenna tower itself and the PC. Often the antenna tower controller is connected to the real physical antenna tower through fiber optics.
Which antenna tower controller is connected to your 'Antenna Stand'?
We first have to know which controller you are using before we can explain you on how only the polarization can be controlled.

It is possible to modify the RadiMation device driver of the Maturo MCU antenna tower controller to NOT perform any height changes. This is however at this moment only possible with an 'advanced' trick.
  1. Start RadiMation
  2. Go to Configuration > Configuration
  3. Select the device drivers tab
  4. Select the 'antenna tower' list
  5. Double click on the 'Maturo MCU' driver
  6. Press the 'SHIFT' key on the keyboard, and keep it pressed.
  7. Click with the mouse on the 'Advanced' button
  8. Release the 'SHIFT" key on the keyboard.
  9. A 'Notepad' window is opened with the internal configuration of the Maturo MCU device driver
  10. Search through the file for the section: "[HD100]".
  11. Change the line "IgnoreHeight=0" to "IgnoreHeight=1", any height changes will then not be performed.
  12. Save the file
  13. close the file.
In the above steps we assume that a driver for the Maturo MCU is already present. Otherwise the driver for the Maturo MCU first has to be created during step 5.

From then on this device driver for the Maturo MCU antenna tower controller will only do the polarization of the antenna.
We advise to make the above change, and test if this is indeed working as you would like. We are interested to know if this indeed resolves your question.
