Re: Possible to use 4 probes during field calibration?
Yes, it is possible to use 4 (even up to 8) field probes during the calibration. There are two different variants to perform a calibration with multiple probes: Use the average field strength of the 4 probes, as the field strenght that will be calibrated. See the 'One-point calibration' in chapter 1...

Re: More correction files for coupler
Yes, create separate correction files for each component, and then apply them successively to account for specific corrections. This way, you can address the unique characteristics of each RF component without combining them into one overall correction file. It is only possible to correct cables wi...

New version: RadiMation version 2023.1.7
We have released an updated version of the RadiMation software, which includes several improvements and fixes for problems that have been detected since the release of the 2023.1.6 version. This version 2023.1.7 has been validated by our internal software quality checks. We strongly advise to test a...

Re: exporting the wrong curve
Both curves are correct, and show the same data. There is only a small difference in how the data is being shown. The exported curve draws each and every data sample of the curve, and that is why a variation in the signal is seen between 1.5 and 2.5 MHz. It thus shows all higher and lower measuremen...

Re: Integration of Temperature/Pressure/Humidity Sensors
I recently described that we are working on a possibility to automatically update the 'temperature', 'humidity', 'pressure' and 'mode of operation' of a test. I can inform you, that this feature is now available, and can be used with the latest RadiMation device drivers, and a custom 'EUT Controller...

Re: Integration of Temperature/Pressure/Humidity Sensors
At present, the only way to ensure that the correct ambient information is entered during test startup is for the operator to do it manually. However, we are actively working on automating this process to eliminate the need for manual input. Our plan is to develop a Python script that can run in the...

Re: How can I include used equipment in a report
It is not possible at this moment to combine the list of equipment from multiple tests into a single table. Putting multiple separate tables (one for each test) under each other is sadly the best what we can suggest at this moment. I do understand your request, and I agree that it would be a benefit...

Re: How can I perform magnetic field test for MIL-STD RS101
We have created two different application notes that explain how the magnetic field tests can be performed in RadiMation. It primarily contains the same information as shown, above but contains some more details and explanations regarding the equipment setup that has to be used. The links are: * App...

Re: radiated immunity Multiband
Hello emvlab, It is indeed correct that by default the horizontal field graph and the vertical field graph are using the same color. It indeed are two lines that are using the same name, and because of the same name they also use the same color. In RadiMation the customization of the graph line (lik...

Re: Other frequencies than expected are selected during the initial prescan
The temporary selection of these frequency ranges is indeed happening, and there is a very logical explanation for it. Using the band configuration that you described, the following actions are performed: The first band is being measured on the analyser for the frequency range from 150 kHz to 1 MHz....

Re: Switch between time and frequency diagram as a standard diagram
Which RadiMation version are you using?
It could be that this indeed was a problem in the 2021.1.x version of RadiMation. It should be resolved in the 2021.2.x version of RadiMation. In the 2021.2.x versions, the frequency diagram should be the default again.

Re: Log4J vulnerability
I can be brief in this answer: RadiMation is NOT using Log4J, and is thus not affected by those problems at all.
RadiMation never used Log4J in the current and previous versions, and is also not planning to start using Log4J.

Re: Possible to use NI GPIB-ENET/1000 - GPIB-Controller for Gigabit Ethernet/LAN?
The interface you are referring to is the National Instruments (NI) GPIB-ENET/1000. That device is indeed fully supported by the NI-MAX software and also by the NI-VISA software library. Because RadiMation is using the NI-VISA software library, it will also be able to use the GPIB-ENET/1000 in RadiM...

Re: Radiated Emission with Gauss TDEMI X6, "realtime scanning"
Hello tha-paul, Our RadiMation software is not using the 'realtime spectrogram mode' of the Gauss TDEMI, because our 'turn turntable during measurement' algorithm is using the additional information that is received by taking individual sweeps to optimize the turntable angle optimization. It is thus...

Re: The definition of measured field, voltage and current
In addition to previous explanation, there is one important remark regarding the display of the power graphs. As explained in the previous post, the values that are shown in the field, voltage and current graphs are corrected for the modulation and the conservation. However, this is NOT done for the...

It is indeed correct that in the documentation of the Laplace RF300 (https://www.laplace.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/RF300-MANUAL.pdf ) is written that the antenna factor should be applied when measurements are performed with the antenna for the CISPR16 measurements. It is indeed possible that no error situation is triggered, and thus the 'Error dialog' is not shown. In that case we advice, to just perform the test in the new software version, and then at the end of the test select the 'Help' menu, and then select the 'Report' or 'Report Error' option. It will a...
