Device driver power meter settings

Post by heutink »

When changing the "Carrier Frequency" field of the "Logging" menu the actual value of the non-corrected power meter changes.
What is the function of this field?
Is there somewhere a internal stored CF table in the power meter. Can you put it on and off. Is this something else then the "Correction Factor" in the "Advanced" setting menu of the device driver?
Please explain the settings of the power meter device driver. We want a non-corrected power meter reading.

Can you please post a screenshot of the "Carrier Frequency" field of the "Logging" menu for more clarity?

Additional screen shots of two different settings of the "Carrier Frequency". Looking to the screenshots, there is a difference in the actual value reading.

The power meter being used is frequency dependent device. The powermeter therefor measures different powers for each frequency.
If no correction factor is applied at the device configuration window, then it seems that the powermeter raw values are measuring a difference of 1dBm between those frequencies.

As of the screenshots, I can see that the Table on the right does not show correct values.
This is an bug (Fixed/released in the 2017.1+ version) in RadiMation that shows incorrect values in the table if no graphs are selected to be visible.
"#7773 Incorrect table information for frmVIPowerMeter at the ctlControlGraph table"

To show correct values in 2016.2.10, please make the power over time graph visible in the Graph/Column menu:

I did the things above mentioned for Radimation version 2016.2.10 and 2017.1.1, still there is a difference in reading of the power meter for the same signal at 100 MHz 0 dBm.
