Migration to Windows 7 caused the software to become slow

Migration to Windows 7 caused the software to be unacceptably slow! E.g. abort and change to manual mode takes 2 min (substitution test)! The same is observed when changing from one frequency range to the next (multiband test). Reasons? Countermeasures?
