Unit settings

Post by sast »

The Unit settings are stored inside the TSF and thus also inside the test results.

Some information about the global Unit settings:
It is possible to configure all Units globally in RadiMation. To check your current used Unit settings for your Radiated Emission test, open menu Configuration -> Configuration -> select Radiated Emission from the dropdown menu. Changing these settings have only effect on TSF files which are newly created after these changes were saved.

Some information about the TSF unit settings:
The Unit settings from the global Units settings window are used for every NEW TSF file. If you already have created a TSF in the past, when different global unit settings were active at that time, these different unit settings are stored inside this TSF file. The Unit settings of a specific TSF can be changed by using the Unit button on the left when the TSF is opened. These changes are only affective for this specific TSF (when these Changes are saved).

Some information about test data Unit settings:
The unit settings used by the TSF are also stored inside the test data (the actual test results, which can be opened from the list). The unit settings for a particular test can be also be changed, but be aware that the showed list is generic. This means that the effect of changing this settings is strongly depending on your test data. RadiMation will normally not be able to re-calculate your test data to another SI. When the test is opened, use the Unit button on the left. These changes are then only stored for this specific test (when the test-data is saved on closing).

Please verify if you are using the correct Units settings throughout your Global settings, already created TSF’s and your existing test data.
