Radimation release.

Post by afrank »

http://wiki.dare.nl/wiki/index.php/RadiMation_Versions tells that: The latest available stable version of RadiMation® is 2014.1.17.

But latest available for download is 2014.1.15. Why is it so?

Hello afrank,

It is indeed correct that the 2014.1.17 version is the latest version that is build. Due to recent changes in the build process, also the Up to date release notes and the latest version of the user manual are included in this new version. It is for example already visible which issues are fixed in the upcoming release. This however requires that the version number is already updated on the radiwiki site.

However our quality system requires that we thoroughly test this new version before it is made available for download. That is the reason why it is not available yet. We are currently testing the 2014.1.17 version. When no problems are found we will make it available for download. If during our verification we find problems, we may decide to never release this version.

We do understand your confusion, however we hope that this answers your questions. We assume that you agree that it is important to test the new software version before we make it available for you.

With best regards,
John

(we found an important problem in the updating of the TSF directories which caused that the 2014.1.16 version will not become available)
