Confidentiality of data

Post by incognito »

Sometimes we get a request from you, to send you some data files of already performed tests. However this raises some discussions as we are not allowed to send you confidential data of the EUT of our customers.
Which confidential data is included in the EUT and Test Data files that are send to you? We are limited to privacy laws, and therefore not allowed to send you all the information.

All the information that you specified on the EUT window in RadiMation is stored in the '.EUT' file. This file will probably contain a lot of confidential data as it will probably contain the name and address of the customer, and EUT specific information.
Each test is performed on an EUT will store the data in a '.T<NUMBER>' file which is store alongside the '.EUT' file. The first test will be stored as a '.T00', the second test as a '.T01', and so on.
These '.T<NUMBER>' files will only contain the data of the performed test. No EUT specific, customer specific of other confidential information is stored in these '.T<NUMBER>' files.

When we are interested in the data file of test result, we only need the corresponding '.T<NUMBER>' file. We just create a 'fake' '.EUT' file with the same name, and we are then able to open the '.T<NUMBER>' files again.

If you are not allowed (due to privacy reasons) to provide the '.EUT' file, only providing us the '.T<NUMBER>' files is also ok. No confidential data will be sent to us in that case.
