Problem with GPIB PCI Card

Post by emvlab »

Hello
Radimation can no longer address GPIB devices. I get the error information: xxx: GPIB-Board is not installed od configured incorrectly (GPIB:ENEB). With NIMax I can address and query all devices.
Radimation 2019.2.5, Device Driver 2019.10.28.1532, Windows 10

Any idea?

Hello,

That is very unfortunate to hear,

To investigate what is happening could you submit an error-report to us containing the "tried" communication which ended up in the error that you are experiencing?

In the meantime, maybe a possible solution since addressing through NIMax does seem to work, is to reinstall RadiMation and see if this has solved your issue.

We will also advice to upgrade to a more recent RadiMation release and driver system, just to be sure.

I hope to have informed you

Hello,

From your error-report we found that RadiMation is expecting to connect on GPIB primary address 0.
The board at address 0 however is not found, but we can see that something is found on address 1.

We have updated our wiki page describing this specific error.
https://wiki.radimation.com/wiki/index. ... _805306895

On this page you will find an image indicating how to make sure NI-Max is configured correctly so that RadiMation can find the correct GPIB-board.
Based on the error log we expect that the indicated address in NI-Max is set to 1.
For your situation we advise you to change the address in NI-Max as indicated on the wiki page to address 0.

I hope this solves your reported issue, let us know!

Best regards,

Yes it works. I had to change the GPIB Interface ID GPIB1 to GPIB0.
thanks

That is very good hear,

Based on your feedback, we have changed the image on the linked wiki page to now refer to the GPIB Interface ID instead of the primary adress.
