Output Power limitation on amplifiers

Post by labemcteseo »

Hi there!
Could you confirm that the correction file set as an Output Power Limitation on amplifiers is not taken into account in Fixed Current Single Band methods, but only in multiband methods?

Thanks!
Cheers!

Hello Claudio,

Unfortunately, I can't confirm this, because any correction file attached to an Amplifier should ALWAYS be taken into account by RadiMation when this setting is enabled. This is completely unrelated to the performed test. Thus, for both the Single Band (Fixed Current) test as well as any Multi Band test the .COR file attached to the Amplifier is used (assumed that this Amplier is added to the used test equipment during these tests).

In addition there is actually a slight difference between the Single Band and the Multi Band tests. That is that the correction file is automatically used within any Multi Band tests and that this setting can't be changed by the end-user.
However, with a Single Band tests it is possible to manually configure the amplifier protection to use only Signal Power or additionally use the Forward Power and/or the Reflected Power. These settings can be configured by pressing the 'Amplifier' button in a Single Band TSF window, which will show you this screen:

If you want RadiMation to use the .COR file attached to the Amplifier during a Single Band test, the Forward Power should be checked as can be seen in the screenshot of this configuration screen.

Kind regards,
