Difference between "conservation on power or voltage"

What is the difference between "conservation on power" or "conservation on voltage" during modulation. There is now a little confusion at NLR how the two functions work and when to use power conservation or voltage conservation. Normally at MIL-STD-461 and ED-14 the generator level at 100% AM SW is 6 dB lower then at CW (100% AM SW should have same level as at CW). It looks that in the past this was accomplished by using power conservation. Now it looks like that this is accomplished by voltage conservation. Using now Radimation 2016.2.8. Has something changed during the software releases?

Ps: for power conservation the level only drops by 2-3 dB.

Is it depended on the way of controlling: Pin or Pfwd or (Pfwd - Prev)?

This question is related to item #2533: Power conservation is not clearly described in the user-manual.

Please read the relevant part of the manual, if it is still unclear send us an e-mail then we will improve the documentation again to make it as clear as possible.
