CE limit line

Post by Savonia »

I'm doing CE LISN test in frequency range of 1 MHz to 30 MHz. Limit line is shown only in range of 1 MHz to 5 MHz. I have done new limit lines and new TSF but it doesn't help. In multiband test limit lines are shown correctly but the test stops at the beginning because of error: 'ESU: more points received then calculated'. Why the whole limit line is not shown in LISN test?

Could you post the Limit Line File (LLF) also to this topic?
Then we can determine if the LLF has a problem.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick answer. Here is one LLF file for you.

I forgot to ask: - Which version of RadiMation are you currently running?

In version 5.8.31, we changed another problem with the Limit lines. (that was #4010).
I have checked your limit line file with a RadiMation version before version 5.8.31: The limit line is shown correctly up to 30 MHz.
I have checked your limit line file with RadiMation version 5.8.31: The limit line is only shown up to 5 MHz. The part from 5 MHz up to 30 MHz is missing.

We can confirm that the problem you are currently seeing is a problem in version 5.8.31. That problem has probably been introduced during the fixing of #4010.
We will continue to investigate the problem, and we hope to give you a solution soon.

I checked some situations to give you a fast workaround for the problem.
A possible solution is to add an additional frequency point to the limit line.
I have added another point to the limit line with: Frequency: 31 MHz, Value 50.
The addition of this additional limit line is fixing the problem with the displaying of the limit line in the CE LISN test.

The updated limit line file is also attached.

This is only a fast workaround for the problem. We will continue to investigate the problem and provide a correct solution for the problem.

We created a new issue in our TestTrack database.
#4065: Limit line is not shown between 5 and 30 MHz in a CE LISN test

This defect can be used for future references to this problem.

The fix for #4010 caused this problem.
That fix has been changed to fix both this problem and still include a fix for #4010.
The problem has now been solved for both problems.
The problem was reproducable, and after the fix was included it didn't happen anymore.

This problem will be correctly fixed in version 5.8.33 of RadiMation (which will probably be available on next monday).
Also the suggested workaround with the additional point in the limit line file is then not necessary anymore.

Version 5.8.33 is now available as download. It should fix the isssue with the limit line not being shown in the last part of the graph.
Could you confirm that version 5.8.33 really solves the issue?
