IF overload is detected

During Conducted Emisssion often the error message "IF overload is detected" is shown. How can this be solved?

This is not a software issue. The IF overload is detected by the measuring device while performing the pre- or final measurement (this error should also be visible on the measurement device itself).

Possible solutions to prevent this message are:
* Perform the same measurement again, but now with a higher attenuation while measuring.
* Perform the same measurement again, but now with a higher reference level while measuring.
* In case a pre-amplifier is used, perform the same measurement again, but now without the pre-amplifier deactivated while measuring.
