Explain working of the detector settings

Post by solutionseeker »

Could you please explain to me how the setting regarding the Detectors are working, see the red marks in the screenshot.
What does the the first and second detector precisely mean?

Re: Explain working of the detector settings

The first check box is to enable/disable the specific detector or trace in total. The second parameter is to be used to enable/disable these time parameters, which can configure the time constant and the the measurement time.

These detector time settings are described in the manual: “In the detectors window the test engineer can configure the detectors used during the emission measurements. The first value is the time constant of the detector while the second value is used for the measure time at each frequency point for this detector. The time constant is send to the receiver, to set the sample time of the detector. To select a detector, check the desired box.” (http://wiki.dare.nl/wiki/index.php/Chapter_7)

So, in other words, the first time is used as Measure Time, the second as Observation time.
RadiMation is measuring on this frequency for the selected detector(s)/trace(s), and will use both time settings on this frequency point.
