Advantest R4131D errors

Post by dbenstead »

We are trying to use the Advantest R4131D spectrum analyzer for radiated emission tests using the anechoic chamber test.

If we set the start frequency to anything less than 500MHz, we get the error message "Spectrum Analyzer incapable of using the requested scan - please amend the test". The subsequent screen shows that all the equipment for the test has "passed" but that the software has failed. The details of the error message say that the error has occurred in executable RADESRC.DLL. We cannot find anywhere to "tell" the software that the R4131D is actually capable of working from 10kHz to 3.5GHz.

If the start frequency is set to 500MHz or greater, we then get an error which says "No match was found in the specified regular expression". The executable field is blank so we don't know how/why this error has occurred. The subsequent screen then shows that the spectrum analyser has failed to initialise.

Can anyone help?

These problems are investigated and refers to item #6151: Advantest R4131D 'incapable of using the requested scan' and 'No match was found in the specified regular expression' errors.
