Radilog error on multiband radiated emissions measurements

Post by heutink »

Performing a multiband radiated emission measurement in one run on several sub-bands (4) with different parameters (EUROCAE ED-14). Each sub-band takes 4001 points. During the run sometimes a "Radilog error" and "out of memory" error occurs. It looks that this error is related to the parameter "points" setting of the receiver (R&S ESU-40).
Standard the setting of this parameter is around 620 within Radimation. We are using "points" settings of 4001 to 5001. Reason: better resolution of the measured frequency peaks. Could it be that there is too much data handling, because of the high "points" setting of the receiver. So Yes, what is the maximum "points" setting Radimation can handle.

Thank you for 'pointing' this issue out to us. The problem you described is highly assumed to be caused by a memory issue in RadiLog.
This is why RadiLog is crashing, while RadiMation will continue running. This issue is solved in the 2016.2.x release of RadiMation (and the RadiLog version released with it).
