Hello John,

we use the ESPI3 receiver from R&s with option FSP-B9. We would like to use this option for the verification of our measurement equipment but this is actually only in local mode possible. Is there any option to remote the tracking generator by Radimation?

At this moment, RadiMation is not able to activate the Tracking Generator of a spectrum analyzer/receiver.
There are a few possibilities that I could implement:

1. Implement full control of the Tracking Generator in RadiMation.
2. Include checkbox in the advanced configuration window of the R&S ESPI device driver that allows to turn the tracking generator on or off during the initialization of the test. The end-user is then able to activate or deactivate the Tracking Generator based on the test that he is performing.
3. Always activate the tracking generator of the R&S ESPI (also if it is not used during emission measurements), this probably has a limitation that it will probably reduce the measurement speed due to activated Tracking generator.

Possibility '1' is the best to implement, but will also take most time to implement. The other two options are only implemented in the device driver of the R&S ESPI and can be implemented much faster.

Which possibility do you think is best to implement?

Hello John,

for our purposes I think that your 2. proposal is actually the best and the fastest. It would be nice in the future to have the completly functionality of the measurement receiver in Radimation.
