ESPI 3 R&S receiver Reference level

Hello John,
we use the ESPI3 receiver from R&s with option FSP-B9. The reference level is always set to 80dbµV. Can I change this value? I want to see the measured spectrum also on the receiver display.

Hello Marius,
Are you using the R&S ESPI3 in 'Spectrum Analyzer' or in 'Scanning Receiver' mode?

Hi John,
The most applications are in scanning mode, but some aplications also in swepped mode.

When the R&S ESPI3 is used in Spectrum analyzer (Swepped) mode, the to be used Reference level can be configured by the 'Reference Level' setting in the TSF file of the Emission test.
When the R&S ESPI3 is used in Scanning Receiver (scanning) mode, the top of the graph is not controlled by RadiMation. The top of the graph is determined and set by the firmware of the R&S ESPI.
Does this clarify the observations you are seeing?
