Keyword emission table in multiband test

Post by Savonia »

Hi, when using a keyword EMISSION TABLE in multiband test report, there is a unit after every value in the table. In automatic test (e.g. LISN) report the units are in header (e.g. Frequency MHz). Could it be possible to put units to header also in MB tests? So the table would be more easier to read.

There maybe another solution for your question.
Can you try if the following settings give you the needed table?
  • Open the test result file.
  • Click the units button on the right side.
  • Double click on frequency
  • Deselect the option "Auto scale unit", make sure the unit is on MHz.
  • Close all windows by pressing ok on each window.
  • Save the file
  • Re-run the report.
If this works fine for you, change the setting in the tsf.

It is correct that when the Report generator is used in combination with multiband emission tests, that the unit is included in the cells of the inserted table.
The primary reason for this, is that this makes it possible to use better auto-scaling units depending on the values that are included in the table.

For example the following table could be inserted in the final report:

Code: Select all

Nr	Frequency Peak Peak Correction	Angle Height	Polarization
1	80 kHz 80 dBµV/m	0 dB 79,1 Degree	2 m	Horizontal
2	2 MHz 32,99 dBµV/m	0 dB 14,3 Degree	90 cm	Horizontal
3	3,5 MHz 32,99 dBµV/m	0 dB 330,7 Degree	1,5 m	Horizontal
4	11,5 MHz 53,99 dBµV/m	0 dB 295,4 Degree	2 m	Horizontal
5	12,5 MHz 54,99 dBµV/m	0 dB 29,6 Degree	2 m	Horizontal
In this example the frequency of the first peak is nicely displayed as: 80 kHz. The height of the second peak is nicely displayed as 90 cm.
If the units are included in the column header, those values should have been shown as: 0.08 and 0.9.

This is only a partial example, other combinations of different values are also possible. That is why the unit is shown in the cell of the table and not in the column header of the table.

Another customer also requested this feature.
We have created an issue for this wish: #4170: Report generator - table cells without unit
