Possible to use 4 probes during field calibration?

Post by incognito »

Is it possible to setup a routine for the electric field calibration method with 4 probes for field uniformity test?

Yes, it is possible to use 4 (even up to 8) field probes during the calibration.
There are two different variants to perform a calibration with multiple probes:
  1. Use the average field strength of the 4 probes, as the field strenght that will be calibrated. See the 'One-point calibration' in chapter 12 of the manual. Especially the 'Field Probe Setup' dialog, which allows to select up to 8 probes to be combined in an average value.
  2. Use multiple probes in combination with the constant power method. This will allow to do 4 points of the 16-point Uniform Field Area calibration as once. (See: https://forum.radimation.com/viewtopic.php?p=228#p228 for a detailed explanation)
